Postdoctoral Fellow Quantum Information Group of Prof. Hoi-Kwong Lo Kai Chen received his B.A. in Physics from Northwest University in China in 1996. He received his PhD in Theoretical Physics from the Institute of Modern Physics, Northwest University in 2001. From 2001 to 2003, he joined the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a postdoctoral fellow on quantum information theory and quantum cryptography. From September 2003, he has been a postdoctoral fellow in Quantum Information Group of Prof. Hoi-Kwong Lo in University of Toronto. My present research interests include quantum cryptography, quantum information, and quantum computation. Recently I have focused on quantum communication and quantum information theory. In particular, I would like to explore the theoretical study and experimental implementation of quantum cryptography, reveal the mathematical structure and physical characters of quantum entangled states, their potential applications for present quantum information technology and quantum communications.
